MB CRUSHING BUCKET STREAMLINES OPERATIONS

“The bucket allows us to process pure granite at 12 ton an hour.   A lot more if just bricks and stone.

It’s streamlined the way we work and allowed us to be a lot more versatile on smaller job sites.  It’s saved us transport and hire costs and will be well worth the long-term investment.”

I looked at cheaper options on the market, but they couldn’t cope with the granite we often get on jobs.  It’s worth paying more.  The jaws are lasting extremely well, as I thought they would need replacing by now, but haven’t yet!!

It’s given us great value for money.  Others would have been a waste of money as they wouldn’t have done the job.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for.  I’m very impressed.”

MB CRUSHING BUCKET STREAMLINES OPERATIONS FOR WELSH GROUNDWORK COMPANY

Wales based R.P. Jones Groundworks have chosen to invest in a MB C50 Crushing Bucket, to streamline processes and save them time and money on their projects.

Around 80% of the company’s work is on the redevelopment of caravan sites.  On these jobs they are often breaking up the concrete bases and re-furbishing them.  Traditionally they would break up all the concrete bases first and then hire in a crusher to crush all the base material in one go.   This involved more downtime and the costs of hiring in a static crusher each time.

However, with the addition of the MB C50 to their fleet, they are now able to break out one base, crush the concrete with the bucket, and use the hardcore to do the next one.   This allows them to work in a row.  This is a lot more time efficient for them as they can be working on different elements of the redevelopment much more effectively.

Other aspects of their work include demolishing buildings.  The bucket means they can now reuse hardcore on site rather than buying it in.  Again, this allows them to do more work onsite and not have the transport and buy in costs.

The MB C50 Crusher Bucket works on two of their machines – JCB 8055 and a JCB 852.   Rhodri Jones, the Company’s Owner, decided the time was right to look at investing in a Crushing Bucket.   He’d done the research and looked at other models and brands on the market.  He spoke to Worsley Plant and was impressed with what he saw so the deal was done.

Rhodri commented: “The bucket allows us to process pure granite at 12 ton an hour.   A lot more if just bricks and stone.  It’s streamlined the way we work and allowed us to be a lot more versatile on smaller job sites.  It’s saved us transport and hire costs and will be well worth the long-term investment.”
