What different jobs have you done for the company?
I’m the Service Manager for the South of the UK.
In your current role, what are your day-to-day responsibilities? Describe a typical day?
My days are varied and often entail lots of driving. I travel around the south of the UK installing our kit for customers on site, both new and used, either for sale or hire. I also do on site repairs, or could be carrying out repairs and refurbishments on buckets in my southern workshop.
What’s the best bit of your job?
Meeting lots of different people on the job sites I go to and getting to see different parts of the UK while driving.
What’s the worst bit of your job?
Well the M25 isn’t great most of the time, so I spend a lot of time sitting in traffic. Those climate protestors haven’t helped lately.
Why do you like working for WP?
I get to be my own boss. I like the variety of what I do. When it’s busy my days are certainly full – sometimes driving as far as Devon and back in a day. It’s nice being part of a small team in the south, where we have good communication together and work well as a team.
How would your friends and family describe you?
Most people think I’m fun and like a joke, but most say I’m reliable and committed and will go out of my way to help people.
What do you do when you’re not at work?Come into work! I don’t like not working – I make things like fire pits and raised flowerbeds. I like fishing and long walks with my dog Ozzie.
What is your favourite food?
Lots!!!
Where would be your ideal holiday destination?
I’d go to Gracelands and travel around the deep south of the USA in an RV
Tell us something about yourself that no-one would expect of you? Or what is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
I’m a big Elvis fan and have a tattoo of him on my leg.
What’s your biggest achievement?
Becoming a Dad to my boy.

My dog, work van and a radio
