Worsley Plant are delighted to welcome two new Area Sales Managers to strengthen their team in the UK and help both with their future growth and servicing the needs of their customers. Richard Higgott joins to cover the Midlands and Matt Giddings for London and the South East.
Richard has worked in construction equipment sales for 15 years with Terex, Liebherr and Bell Equipment, working his way up from a dealer manager at Terex to the UK Sales and Marketing Manager at Bell Equipment. Over this time, he has been involved in selling all construction / plant equipment ranging from Site dumpers, Backhoes, Rollers, Excavators from Mini to Mass Excavators, Demolition equipment, Loading Shovels, Articulated Dump Trucks, Material Handlers and Dozers.
Matt started out as an Apprentice at Greenshields JCB before becoming a self-employed service technician and then strengthening his knowledge of the industry as a Senior Technical Adviser at Liebherr. He decided he wanted to move into Sales in 2015 with Marubeni Komatsu and we are now lucky to have all his technical and sales experience joining us at Worsley Plant.
Richard says: “Having some time away while looking after my son, I wanted to get back into the industry I love but wanted to move away from the corporate world and get back to working with a company where you have a direct impact on yours and the company’s success. I met with Sean Heron and Worsley Plant seemed like the perfect fit for both of us.”
Matt adds: “I love working in the industry and look forward to bringing my experience into my new role with Worsley Plant. I am keen to develop the company’s reputation and customer base in the South of the UK.”
