A great day hosting the IDE Northwest!

A day to remember.

On Thursday 25th April 2024, Worsley Plant hosted the northwest edition of the Institute of Demolition Engineers at our yard in Middlewich, Cheshire.

The event began around midday, as a brilliant turnout of guests gathered inside the Worsley Plant offices for lunch and hot drinks. From here, two groups of IDE members were formed and given a tour of the Worsley Plant yard, including our wide range of hydraulic attachments, the main workshop, and of course the Parts department.

At around 2pm, Mike Keogh announced the start of the presentations, which did not disappoint! It was Worsley Plant who began proceedings with an introduction to our company, the history behind it, and the future ahead of us. This was then followed by a stellar line-up of talks, hosted by Marcus Hartley of Montabert, Joshua Martin of Andun Engineering, Mark Mates of HiTec Demolition, and Danny Mackinlay of PP’Oconnor. Each presentation was extremely insightful and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The team at Worsley Plant would like to say a huge thank you to the Institute of Demolition Engineers for the opportunity to host the event this time round, and of course to everyone who came down to show their support. It was a great turnout, and we are proud to see the IDE moving from strength to strength.
